This piece is part of his iconic Physichromie series, which he began in 1959 and continued throughout his career. These works are not static paintings; they are color events that unfold as the viewer moves, revealing shifting hues and geometric patterns that seem to vibrate and change.

Cruz-Diez’s innovative technique involves arranging colored strips and geometric shapes on a surface, often using industrial materials like aluminum and cardboard. The interaction of adjacent colors creates optical illusions, challenging the viewer’s perception and inviting active participation. Physichromie No. 326 embodies this dynamic interplay, making it a significant example of Cruz-Diez’s contribution to Op and Kinetic art.

Now, you can own a museum-quality reproduction of this masterwork, exclusively from Carlos Cruz Diez Store.
